Book Sneak Peak

In For the Trees, the trees discover the city plans to raze them down to build a new housing development. 15-year-old Ashley Tsai unwinds the story of how a bunch of kids save them from becoming woodchips. All the profits from this book helps raise money to provide free meals, trees, and books to underprivileged kids.

Talk to a tree

Our trees would love to speak with you!

Did you know?

  • Trees talk to each other

Yes, trees savor a vibrant social life! Just as we chat and share resources with loved ones, trees do too. Beneath the soil sparks Nature’s “internet”—the vast mushroom root system that connects the trees like telephone wires by which they share tips, warnings and nutrients.

  • Trees slow down time

One of the best ways to prolong a weekend can be by taking a nature walk. Studies show walking in nature allows you to savor time more than walking in a concrete jungle. While both walks reduce stress levels, walking in nature boosts your mood more and slows down time perception, making us more attuned to the present.

  • Trees improve immunity

Walking in a forest ameliorates your health. Physiological markers such as blood pressure, cortisol levels, and pulse rates lower when strolling under trees compared to city crosswalks. Trees also release certain aromatic compounds that have proven to release proteins that fight cancer and improve immunity!
